We would like to welcome Dr. Enrique Maya to our team. He will be assuming the role of Manager of Material Science. He holds a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science specializing in Electrochemistry from The University of Akron. He also holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Corrosion/Metallurgy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Dr. Maya’s research and publications have focused on the corrosion protection properties of different coating systems and the electrochemical characterization of corrosion-resistant alloys like select stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, and galvanized steel in aggressive environments.
Dr. Maya’s primary responsibility will be overseeing all of Liquidmetal’s material science aspects. He has previously been employed as a Senior Technology Engineer. He brings extensive knowledge in corrosion science, electrochemistry, metallurgy, and protective coatings.
